Shaggy Foot
An uncut foot from which the filler leaves protrude freely.
On a shaggy foot, wrapper and binder stop short of the foot, leaving the leaves of the filler protruding untrimmed. The first puffs thus present the filler on its own; only afterwards do binder and wrapper enter the flavour — a small tasting exercise built in at the factory. As a side benefit, the loose overhang of leaf takes the flame easily and gently.
