Punch cutter
A round cutter that punches a circular hole into the cap of the cigar.
The punch cutter — usually called simply a punch — stamps a round hole into the cap at the head rather than cutting it off. This preserves the head shape and the shoulder, but offers less draw surface than a guillotine; the compact punch often hangs on a keyring, making it the tool for smoking on the go. On figurados with a pointed head it reaches its limits — there a straight cut remains the better choice.
