Vuelta Abajo
Cuba’s most famous growing region in the west of the island — the world reference for premium tobacco.
The Vuelta Abajo lies in Pinar del Río province in western Cuba; its red soils and warm, humid climate produce tobacco that has been imitated worldwide but never matched. As early as the 19th century its leaf was considered the finest in the world and established the reputation of the Habano; to this day the tobaccos of the great Cuban marcas come predominantly from the vegas of this region.
