Vitola
The format of a cigar — the combination of length, ring gauge, and shape.
The vitola describes the format of a cigar: length, diameter (ring gauge), and shape. Identical vitolas bear different brand names depending on the maker — the classic robusto is one of the best-known examples. In Cuban factories the format as the roller knows it is called the vitola de galera; the sales name is the vitola de salida.
