Pyramide

A figurado format that tapers continuously from the open foot to a pointed head.

The pyramide (Spanish “Pirámide”) belongs to the figurados: from the open foot it runs in a continuous line to the pointed head. The conical shape concentrates the smoke towards the tip, and the opening can be made narrower or wider depending on how the cut is made. What distinguishes it from the torpedo is the continuous taper — in the torpedo the body remains straight and only the head tapers to a point.
