Short filler
A cigar whose filler consists of cut tobacco pieces rather than whole leaves.
Short filler cigars are mostly machine-made and tend to burn faster and hotter than long filler cigars, whose filler consists of whole, folded leaves. Hand-rolled premium cigars are virtually always long filler; short filler serves the more affordable everyday segment. A middle ground is the medium filler, which combines leaf pieces with whole leaves.
