Head
The closed end of the cigar that is cut before smoking.
The head is the end that touches the lips. The torcedor seals it with a piece of wrapper tobacco called the cap, which holds the rolled cigar together — only the cut just before smoking opens it. How much you remove determines the draw: a portion of the cap’s curve should remain so that the wrapper does not unravel. The open counterpart is the foot.
