Entubado
A rolling technique in which the torcedor shapes every filler leaf individually into a small tube.
In entubado (from the Spanish “entubar”, to form into tubes), the torcedor rolls each leaf of the filler into a slim tube of its own before gathering them all in the binder. The tubes act as parallel air channels: even densely packed cigars keep an open draw, and the air passes along every single leaf. The method, Cuban in origin, is considered the most laborious way of forming the bunch, which is why it remains largely the preserve of experienced rollers and small productions.
