Bouquet
The overall aromatic impression of a cigar — from the cold cigar’s scent to the smoke’s flavour.
The term, borrowed from wine, describes the interplay of scent and flavour notes. Even the unlit cigar reveals its bouquet: smelling at the foot and a cold draw tell you much about the tobacco and its ageing before fire comes into play. During smoking the bouquet continues to unfold and often changes from third to third.
