Barberpole
A cigar wrapped in two different-coloured wrappers spiralled around each other.
The name echoes the striped pole outside barber’s shops: in a barberpole, two contrasting wrappers — say a light Claro and a dark Maduro — are wound in opposite spirals around the cigar. The result is as much a visual statement as a flavour study, since both leaves contribute to the aroma. The technique is demanding for the torcedor, which is why barberpoles are rare in most ranges.
