Culebra
Three thin cigars braided together while damp and dried in that form — Spanish for "snake".
For a culebra, three slender cigars are wound around each other while moist, secured with a band, and dried so that each retains its curved shape; they are smoked individually. The anecdote about the origin holds that the twisted form marked the rollers’ daily ration so they could not be confused with factory stock — this is not established fact. Today the culebra is a rare indulgence among figurados and a popular format for sharing three ways.
